What age do I introduce it?
Most pediatricians say 6–9 months. Some kids take to the straw on day one; others need a week of you demonstrating it, which feels as ridiculous as it sounds.
Straw cup or sippy cup?
Most guidance has shifted toward straws — the motion to draw liquid up a straw is closer to open-cup drinking than the bottle-like suck of a sippy spout.
Can my toddler use it without the straw?
