Polar bears watching the night sky. A 2-pack of burp cloths in Stargazing Bears — one cloth with polar bears on ice floes under constellations and northern lights on deep navy; the second with rows of stars and dashes on light blue. Each cloth is 56 × 29 cm / 22 × 11.5 in, muslin on one side with a terry cloth back for maximum absorption. Built for the spit-up months, then the stroller-wipe months, then the light-cover months after that.

The material. Tanboocel® Bamboo Viscose, blended with cotton and woven into an open-weave muslin — soft against a newborn’s cheek, and it softens further with more washes and use. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Tanboocel® is also the cleaner way to make bamboo viscose: a closed-loop process recovers most of the water and solvent instead of sending it downstream.

Why the terry back. Single-layer muslin soaks through to your shoulder, which defeats the point. The terry cloth back absorbs without bleeding through.

Care. Machine wash cold or warm, tumble dry low or hang. The print holds through repeated washing.

After the spit-up stops. Around month six the cloth gets reassigned — stroller wipe, car-seat cover, nursing cover, emergency bib. Most parents land on the same reuses in roughly that order, which is why the 2-pack outlives the months it was bought for.
