It measures 47 by 119 cm / 47 in — the size that actually holds. Most hospital swaddles come out around 112 cm / 44 in, and that small difference is exactly where a wrap goes from snug to loose at 3 a.m. Three inches sounds like nothing on paper; after about week three, you'll know which one you wish you'd been handed.
Material. Tanboocel® Bamboo Viscose, blended with cotton and woven into open-weave muslin. Tanboocel® is a branded bamboo viscose made through a closed-loop process — third-party verified, with a lower water and chemical footprint than the generic bamboo rayon most brands quietly label "bamboo." It gets softer after the fifth wash than on day one, the opposite of how cotton ages.
The print. Pale mint-seafoam ground with multicoloured hand-drawn letters A through Z, smiling apples and watermelon slices, ladybugs, suns, rainbows, donuts, umbrellas, small flowers.
One blanket, many jobs. The newborn swaddle is the first use. After the swaddle phase ends — 8 to 16 weeks for most babies — the same blanket becomes a nursing cover, a stroller shade, a tummy-time mat, a burp cloth, and a light summer blanket. It outlasts the swaddle window by years.
When to stop swaddling. The arms-in swaddle ends the moment the baby shows signs of rolling — usually 8–16 weeks. The Canadian Paediatric Society's guidance is firm on this. Past that point, switch to a 0.5 TOG muslin sleep bag (warm nursery) or a 1.0 TOG TENCEL™ sleep bag (everyday nursery) with arms free.

When should I stop swaddling my baby?
Stop the arms-in swaddle the moment the baby shows signs of rolling — usually 8–16 weeks. After that, switch to a 0.5 or 1.0 TOG sleep bag with arms free. The Canadian Paediatric Society is firm on this: stop swaddling as soon as your baby shows signs of rolling over.
What size swaddle blanket is best?
47x119 cm / 47 in is the size that holds together. Hospital swaddles are usually 44x44 and that's where the swaddle goes from snug to loose at 3 a.m. The three-inch difference matters more than it sounds like it should.
Can I use a muslin swaddle as a nursing cover?
Yes. The same blanket works as a nursing cover, a stroller shade, a tummy-time mat, a lightweight summer blanket, and a burp cloth. Open-weave muslin breathes well enough that you're not creating a hot pocket while feeding.

Love these Muslim swaddles. I use them as lightweight and breathable summer blankets for my 8 month old. Large enough to cover his stroller for nap time or just to keep the sun off him. They are by far the softest I have found. Who wants to wrap their baby in scratchy muslin. Super cute designs too. Highly recommend.
Neither of my children particularly liked swaddling so when I was given the avocado pattern swaddle as a gift I just started wearing it as a scarf. I adore it and receive compliments on it every time. I bought this one when I was ordering the fantastic sleepers for my recent arrival and I love it just as much. I also use both as blankets for the smaller one during the day, on walks, etc. So light but also warm. And absorbent for the inevitable spit-ups. This is a magic product I love for every practical and aesthetic reason. It will be an item I will hold on to as a way to remember babyhood for all time.

I'm a huge fan of inanimate things having faces on them so when I saw this I couldn't resist! It's sooo soft! I use it mostly as a lightweight blanket for my son to snuggle with but it is a really cute swaddle too. Colors are so pretty, shipping was really fast. Buy it, you'll love it!
