Loose blankets have been the default for generations. Here's how they actually stack up.

What Parents Say

Customer Review Title

We've tried three different brands and these are the only sleep bags our daughter doesn't fight at bedtime. The TENCEL fabric is so soft — you can feel the difference.
— Sarah K.

Customer Review Title

My son was waking up every time his blanket came off. Switched to the 1.0 TOG sleep bag and he's sleeping through. Worth every penny.
— Megan T.

Customer Review Title

The 2.5 TOG waffle knit for winter is unreal. He looks forward to putting it on. We have four now — different TOGs for different seasons.

Care & Sizing

How do I wash a sleep bag?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or hang dry. No bleach, no fabric softener — softener coats the fibres and reduces moisture-wicking performance on TENCEL™.

What size should I get?

Sleep bags are sized by weight and height, not age. Check the size guide on the product page for exact measurements. When between sizes, size up — there should be room to kick and move.

Which TOG do I need?

0.5 TOG for rooms 24°C and above. 1.0 TOG for year-round use in rooms 20–24°C. 2.5 TOG for cool rooms below 20°C or winter use. Always check room temperature before dressing baby for sleep.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can a baby start using a sleep bag?

From birth. Our sleep bags start at 0–3M (3–6kg). Ensure the neck opening is snug enough that baby can't slip inside — check the size guide.

Is TENCEL™ good for babies with sensitive skin?

Yes. TENCEL™ Lyocell has a smooth, continuous fibre structure that lies flat against skin — less friction and less irritation than cotton or synthetic fabrics. Its moisture-wicking properties also help keep skin dry throughout the night, which matters for babies who sleep 10–12 hours in the same garment.

Can my baby wear a sleeper under the sleep bag?

Yes — most parents do. A fitted TENCEL™ sleeper under a 1.0 TOG bag is the most common combo. Avoid too many layers: one more layer than an adult would wear is a good rule of thumb.

What's the difference between TENCEL, Muslin, and Waffle Knit?

TENCEL™ Modal is the softest and most temperature-regulating — great year-round. Bamboo Muslin is ultra-lightweight and breathable, ideal for warm weather (0.5 TOG). Waffle Knit provides gentle insulation with built-in airflow — perfect for the 2.5 TOG winter option.

Are sleep bags good for babies with eczema?

Many parents with eczema-prone babies tell us yes. TENCEL™ Lyocell's smooth fibre structure reduces friction against skin, and its moisture-wicking properties keep skin dry throughout the night — both factors that matter for babies with sensitive or reactive skin. Talk to your paediatrician for your child's specific situation.

How does TENCEL compare to cotton for babies?

For babywear, TENCEL™ Lyocell outperforms cotton in moisture absorption — independent testing shows it absorbs roughly 50% more moisture than cotton. It also has a naturally smooth fibre structure, which means it stays soft wash after wash without pilling or roughening. Cotton tends to get stiffer and more textured over time. For babies in the same garment all night, that difference shows up quickly.
