One piece from neck to toes, hands covered, warmth even — the sleepsuit does the whole night in one zip.

Watercolour mermaids — the soft-pastel under-the-sea pattern.

It's built for the 6–18M stretch, when the baby has outgrown the swaddle, wants their arms free, but still kicks off every blanket. The sleeveless cut frees the arms while the closed legs keep the warmth where it belongs, rated for a 21–24°C nursery.

Material. TENCEL™ Lyocell with a touch of spandex for stretch. TENCEL™ is the wood-pulp fiber Lenzing spins in a closed-loop process that recycles 99% of its water and solvents, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. It's softer than cotton and keeps its shape through heavy washing — the pajamas your baby still has at 18 months are TENCEL™.

Why a sleepsuit. Between 6 and 18 months the baby has outgrown the swaddle, wants their arms free, but still kicks off every blanket. A sleeveless suit with closed legs is the answer — arms loose, warmth kept where it belongs.

The print. Ivory ground with watercolour mermaids in pastel pink and peach with brown hair, peach binding.

Construction. Sleeveless and footed-free — arms loose to move, body covered to stay warm. A two-way zipper opens from the bottom for fast changes, the neckline is tagless, and the seams are reinforced at the stress points.

When to switch from sleep bag to sleepsuit. Most families switch around 12–15 months, when the baby is walking confidently in the crib. The closed-leg sleep bag becomes a trip hazard at that point. The sleepsuit gives the same TOG warmth with mobility. Some families switch earlier if the baby protests the closed-leg bag; others stay in sleep bags longer if the baby is content.

Adjacent products. The 1.0 TOG TENCEL™ Sleep Bag is the pre-walking version of this garment. Browse the full sleepsuit collection or pair with a long-sleeve TENCEL™ sleeper as the under-layer.

Sizing. 6–18M, 18–24M, 2T. Size to current weight and height.

Care. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Don't bleach, and don't iron the printed areas. Wash it Tuesday, wash it Friday, wash it forever — TENCEL™ holds its surface through the routine.

Safety & certification. Aligned with Canadian Paediatric Society safe-sleep guidance. Tested to Health Canada's Children's Sleepwear Regulations (SOR/2016-169), and to CPSIA and ASTM standards. Material certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Loulou Lollipop is a Certified B Corporation.

Common questions

What's the difference between a sleepsuit and a sleep sack?

A sleep sack has closed legs (or an opening at the bottom) and keeps the legs together for sleep. A sleepsuit has separated legs — the baby can stand, crawl, and walk in it. The sleepsuit is the wearable blanket for the 6–18M phase when the baby is mobile but still needs the warmth of a sleep bag.

When should I switch from sleep sack to sleepsuit?

Once the baby is walking confidently in the crib (around 12–15 months for most), the closed-leg sleep bag becomes a trip hazard. The sleepsuit gives the same TOG warmth with separated legs so they can stand safely. Some families switch earlier if the baby protests the sleep bag.

Can a baby wear a sleepsuit year-round?

At 1.0 TOG, yes — in a 21–24°C nursery, which is the most common US bedroom temperature. For warmer summer nights, switch to lighter pajamas. For cold winter nurseries below 20°C, add a long-sleeve bodysuit underneath.

Toasty on cold winter nights!

We’ve used other sleepsuits before so I have a lot to compare to but the things I found stand out for me are the fact the feet can be folded over to keep warm and that there’s sleeves to keep their arms warm!

Soft and comfy!

Love the sleepsuit, the double zipper, snaps on the leg area and foldover foot cuffs.
Only issue with it is that it runs small. Definitely size up.

Worst Zippers but Great Idea

Love the idea of this, great for keeping arms warm, but after only a few wears, the zipper keeps ripping open in the night. Super frustrating for such an expensive sleep outfit.

Terrible sizing !

First the material is wonderful BUT I got 18-36 months as my baby girl is 17 months old but I wanted to make sure it is very loose so I can put warm Pjs underneath … this would fit maybe to 9 months old baby ! I have sleep suit from KYTE that is 18-36 and it’s perfectly loose but I needed somethubg warmer for our trip to Europe ! But my baby can not move in this ! The arms are tight , the legs are tights and short ! I tried to squeeze her in it and she was crying the whole time ! How is this supposed to be 18-36 months I don’t get FYI my baby girl weights 21 pounds only ! And we leave for our trip in 2 days and I have no time to get replacement !

Cheap broken snaps.

I love everything Louloulollipop, but not this sleepsuit. The snaps are plastic and feel very cheap, one wouldn’t work at all and the others feel like they’re on the verge of breaking. If the snaps were changed on a future sleepsuit, might consider purchasing, but as is, can’t recommend this product. Everything else on this site is the best, though.

Snaps are v annoying-do not recommend this

The dozen snaps make this very challenging to put on and do up after diaper changes. These snaps are also prone to breaking. In theory I love this product but it needs a zipper.
The feet also sort of close with a snap but feet can sneak out easily. I would prefer the standard fold over mechanism. I wish the hands folded over too.
The neck hole is very wide even on my large baby.
Otherwise it's soft and comfy like their other products.

Cute but not a great fit!

I bought this a month ago and it's so nice and soft but as with other products from this company the wrists and ankles are soo skinny and tight on my little one. This suit fit perfectly until I went to do the snaps on the legs up. The ankles and partway up the leg won't do up as they are too small.

Beware of the denim color

I love these sleep sacs but found the denim color is more like purple and not like the first picture shown. (It’s like the second picture). Understanding color of the product isn’t necessarily important it would just be nice to have accurate photos of the product and what you’re buying.

The best sleep bags!

I was gifted 2 of the 2.5 tog sleep bags at my baby shower in size 0-6 months. My baby slept in them from 3 months untill 9 months and fit perfectly. They were washed often and held up wonderfully. We just switched to the 6-18 month size and we love them so much. Nice and warm and soft and cozy.

Love these

Best thing ever for kiddos that don’t like their toes covered but still need bedtime warmth. We have 2 in every size

Life saver

We use these every night for our two year old. It has been a life saver because our son struggles to stay asleep and needs to be carried often. The sleep suit allows us to put him in the carrier. I really hope it doesn't get discontinued.

Take the plunge, it’s worth it!

Amazing quality. So soft and luxurious feeling. It is exactly what we were looking for. My daughter doesn’t like sleep sacks because she can’t move properly. She loves these sleep suits and they help her to stay warm at night.

Great quality, and beautifully soft and cozy.

Soft, warm and super cozy, this sleepsuit is great quality and my two year old loves it. Would definitely purchase again.

Bad zipper

These could be great, except for the terrible zipper! So much effort is put into the design and quality, only to add a flimsy zipper that can't handle the weight of fabric or size of child. I spent a lot of money on two of these, and both zippers keep splitting in the night. The last time my toddler woke up cold at 3am, which is why I'm writing this now.

Super soft, cute dinosaur print

Incredibly soft and warm. It washes well. We hang it to dry as to avoid possible shrinkage. My The 2-way zipper is helpful as my child is not fully potty trained yet. The buttons are a nice feature at the bottom for the same reason. The dinosaur print is really cute. My girl loves it. Would highly recommend this product!

Best decision ever

I’m a busy mom of 2 little boys and a family doctor who cares a lot about sleep safety. My 2 year old has been refusing a sleep sack for a few months now and won’t keep a blanket on at night. This solved every problem and is the most comfortable material ever! I’m waiting for more stock so I can buy one in every print! I wish they made them for adults

Bad zipper quality

The overall material is nice and soft, however, the zipper is really in bad quality. Was very frustrating to make it work in the beginning point. We only used it several times, but the zipper head has somehow changed its shape so it is super hard to pull up.

Perfect for a cold house

We keep our house a bit cooler so I wanted a warmer sleeper for my little guy. He’s still able to cruise around in it and keeps him warm and cozy at night.

Feels good but can't fit

Sad this didn't work out for my 12.5 month old. The material feels great but he can't fit it. His wrist and ankles are a bit too chubby. Might need to wait until he is actually 17-18 months to try again.
