This is the lightest sleep bag we make, rated for nursery temperatures between 24 and 27°C — summer nights, top-floor bedrooms, and the many Canadian homes that were never built with central air. When a 1.0 TOG starts to feel like too much, this is the one you reach for.
Material. Tanboocel® Bamboo Viscose, blended with cotton and woven into open-weave muslin. Tanboocel® is a branded bamboo viscose made through a closed-loop process — third-party verified, with a lower water and chemical footprint than the generic bamboo rayon most brands quietly label "bamboo." It gets softer after the fifth wash than on day one, the opposite of how cotton ages.
The print. Cream ground with alligators on swings and seesaws, small elephants and pink bunnies, kites being flown by our Wolfie, hopscotch grids, balloons, small numbers, clouds, and trees.
Construction. Sleeveless on purpose, so your baby sheds heat instead of trapping it. A two-way zipper runs the length of the bag, so a midnight diaper change takes seconds and wakes nobody. The neck and arm openings are bound in soft fabric, not scratchy serged edges, and cut snug — the part that matters most for safe sleep.
Why 0.5 TOG matters. Most premium brands skip this weight; their lightest options start at 0.6 or 0.7 TOG and run warmer than the label suggests. That leaves warm nurseries choosing between a blanket, which the Canadian Paediatric Society advises against, or no sleep sack at all. A true 0.5 TOG muslin solves both.

Sizing. 0–6M (fits 3.6–8.2 kg / 8–18 lb), 6–18M (fits 8.2–12.7 kg / 18–28 lb), 18–36M (fits 12.7–17.2 kg / 28–38 lb). Always size to current weight, not age. A neck opening that's too wide can ride up over your baby's face during the night, which is why a snug fit there matters.
Care. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Tanboocel® takes the dryer better than bamboo rayon, with less pilling and shrinkage over time. Don't bleach; iron on low only if you need to.
Safety & certification. Tested to Health Canada's Textile Flammability Regulations, and to CPSIA and ASTM standards. The material is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and Loulou Lollipop is a Certified B Corporation.

What temperature is 0.5 TOG good for?
0.5 TOG is the warm-room weight. Use it when the nursery sits between 24 and 27°C, typically summer nights, top-floor bedrooms, or homes without central AC. Pair with a short-sleeve bodysuit underneath.
Is muslin better than fleece for baby sleep?
Muslin breathes. Fleece traps heat. For warm-weather sleep, muslin moves humidity off the baby's skin and keeps temperature stable. Fleece sleep sacks are designed for cold nurseries and shouldn't be the default in summer.
Are baby sleep sacks safe for newborns?
Yes — once the baby is out of the swaddle phase and can roll. Health Canada notes that many parents use a sleep sack instead of a blanket, and is explicit that getting the size right is what makes it safe. Choose the correct TOG for room temperature and a size that fits at the shoulders so the bag can't slip over the face.

I absolutely love these sleep sacks and other LouLou products! The quality is fantastic and has endured many washes!! I aim to not put in dryer— one sack has gone in multiple times while the other I try to hang. I’m so impressed by how well these have stood up over the past 4 months of wear.
A bit disappointed there’s no between size from the 0-6 and 6-18. My daughter is too petite to fit the next size for some time. It will be tough to be without our favourite sleep sack until she can.
I bought this sleepsack today from a local store in my home town that carries the brand and was excited for it for my baby! It’s super soft and I thought it would be great since the weather is getting warmer and my baby tends to run a little warm, however, I gave it a wash when I got it home, followed the recommended care instructions and washed it on delicate and in a garment bag, I even hung it to dry and I’m now seeing that around the brand tag that it’s fraying/ripping.
So cute but significant tearing of the side seam within < 1 month of use. For the cost — not worth it.
I’ve only had this sleep sack for a month and it is the softest muslin, I wish I’d know about these when my toddler was a newborn. Unfortunately after only 3 washes in the machine, there is a large tear on the outer layer on the side seam :(
Would have given it 5 stars, but the sizing seems very small. Our little one is 5 months old, and these will probably only fit him for another month at most :(
Otherwise very good quality, and would buy again in the correct size.
We’ve been having trouble finding my two month old daughter something comfortable to sleep in that doesn’t restrict her arms (which she hates) or overheats her and this sleeper is the answer. It’s also incredibly cute! My favourite detail is the diagonal zipper that doesn’t bunch up under her chin like other sleep sacks do.
All of Lou Lou lollipops products are phenomenal! Such great quality, fun prints and thoughtful designs of clothing to make changing easier and sleep safer. Highly recommend anything from their store! Such a great company as well, donating gifts to new families and supporting mamas for mamas with the BC wildfire relief.

I absolutely love this sleep bag! The muslin material is beautiful — it feels so light, airy, and breathable, which makes it perfect for warmer nights or when I don’t want P to feel too bundled up.
The sizing is really generous without feeling oversized, and there’s lots of room for her to move comfortably. The zippers are also incredibly smooth and easy to use, which is something I really appreciate during bedtime and nighttime changes.
Overall, it’s such a beautiful, well-made piece. The fabric, fit, and little details all feel thoughtfully done, and I can already see this being one of the sleep bags we reach for all the time.

I purchased four of these sleep sacks in different patterns for my twin girls for summertime sleeping. The lightweight material is soft, and kept my girls cozy but comfortable in warm weather. We will definitely be packing these for a warm weather vacation this winter and the generous size means that they will likely still fit next summer too!
Bought two and quality is not the same as before. Material on both has loose threads and pulled. Have ones that are two years older and in better shape. Cute patterns and no problems with the zipper though.
